The Receptionist is responsible for greeting visitors, receiving and routing incoming telephone calls, performing data entry, providing clerical support and assisting with projects as delegated.


My commitment will include:

  • Establishing and maintaining an effective and efficient front desk area to facilitate guests and all incoming phone calls.
  • Greeting all visitors and directing them to the appropriate person.
  • Answering all incoming calls in a pleasant and proper manner and directing them to the appropriate person or department.
  • Keeping reception area appearance neat and tidy at all times.
  • Taking messages and delivering to the proper person in a timely manner.
  • Assisting with a variety of duties including daily clean-up, equipment cleaning and tracking.
  • Sorting and stamping incoming and outgoing mail as appropriate.
  • Mailing information to clients, referral sources, and community organizations.
  • Maintaining conference room meeting calendars on a daily basis.



  • Education: Associate Degree preferred.
  • Experience: One (1) year experience in a health care setting as a clerk or medical record technician.
  • Skills: Requires interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with staff. Knowledge of medical terminology required, Medicare and Medicaid guidelines preferred. Able to demonstrate problem-solving skills, organizational skills and attention to detail. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to operate computer equipment, fax and photocopy machines as necessary.
