The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant is a certified professional who provides occupational therapy services to patients on an intermittent basis in the home.


My commitment will include:

  • Working under the instruction and plan of care set by the Occupational Therapist, performed in accordance with the physician’s orders.
  • Assisting in implementing the rehabilitation needs and potential for achievement by following a plan of care in accordance with the Occupational Therapist’s findings.
  • Following the implementation of and development of the Plan of Care to ensure quality and continuity of care.



  • Education: Graduate of a certified occupational therapy curriculum established by the Occupational Therapy Association.
  • Licensure: Current State COTA certification if required. Must have valid driver’s license.
  • Experience: One (1) year experience as an occupational therapist assistant in a clinical care setting or home health preferred.
  • Skills: Requires interpersonal skills and ability to learn supervisory skills. Strong verbal & written communication desired.
  • Transportation: Reliable transportation.
