    The Quality Assurance Registered Nurse coordinates performance improvement for branch office activities in tandem with the clinical staff. The Quality Assurance Registered Nurse uses a variety of skills to determine the care and services rendered to patients are efficient, effective, and appropriate to attain desired patient care outcomes, billing, and regulatory requirements.


    My commitment will include:

    • Acting as a mentor with clinical field staff in education and feedback on the quality of clinical documentation.
    • Performing review of new patients’ OASIS data to assure accurate and completion of information.
    • Assisting with the development of tools to perform consistent quality monitoring of patient care, including but not limited to OCS reports, deficiency reports, clinical record review forms, and billing audit.
    • Performing coding of all 485’s for billing in conjunction with admission review with the clinical staff or other designee.
    • Coding ICD10 for all patient diagnoses with clinician and physician input for all certified patients.
    • Reviewing start of care assessments, OASIS, and admission documentation for accuracy and completion.
    • Participating in performance improvement activity and special audits as requested or assigned by the Quality Assurance supervisor or director.
    • Assisting clinical staff in with case conferences.
    • Assisting with tracking to ensure billing occurs timely and meets prospective payment and other regulatory guidelines.



    • Education: RN graduate of an accredited program. BSN preferred.
    • Licensure: Current State license as a Registered Nurse.
    • Experience: 1-2 years of experience as a registered nurse in an appropriate clinical care setting or home health environment preferred. ICD 10 Coding Certification required within 12 months of hire.
    • Skills: Nursing skills as defined by accepted nursing standards. Requires interpersonal skills and ability to manage patient care episodes.
    • Transportation: Reliable transportation.
