    JOB OVERVIEW:

    The Compliance Coordinator assists the Compliance Department through development and performance of agency audits, survey activity, educational tools and communication that promotes compliance throughout the agency.

     

    My commitment will include:

    • Assisting the Manager of Compliance and Privacy through preparation of audit tools, determination of audit sample size and auditing to the requirements
    • Assisting in communicating significant findings, problems and changes related to standards.
    • Assisting in tracking annual compliance survey activity and related plans of correction throughout the organization.
    • Assisting in tracking of regulatory filing deadlines and communicating approaching deadlines in a timely manner.
    • Assisting in the response to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies and standards of conduct.
    • Identifying potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk.
    • Assisting in developing strategies and education to promote the overall compliance program.
    • Visiting branch locations to support compliance audits and tracking all compliance audit visits.
    • Assisting with the annual risk assessments for the compliance and privacy programs.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Associate Degree required
    • Experience: One year experience in compliance and/or privacy, health care preferred.
    • Skills: Requires interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial, clinical and operational information during and after employment. Good working knowledge of health information systems. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word programs.
